Paco Sanguino is a Spanish artist whose paintings focus on collective or individual themes with humanitarian approaches.

At the age of 14, the now father of four studied art drawing, clay modelling and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Seville, where he was born. He has lived with his family in Marbella since 1985. His works can be seen at various exhibitions throughout Spain, as well as permanently in the “Nouvelle Vague” Gallery, Marbella.

About the art:
With his initially abstract paintings, Paco Sanguino reflected his perception of urban life in his birthplace and all its facets in (“The walls of my city”). Over time however, the artist developed a passion for figurative art.

He decided to give up abstract painting and concentrate exclusively on figurative works, drawing his inspiration from Spanish baroque painters such as Murillo, Zumbarán and Velásquez, but also from contemporary artists such as Albert Oehlen, Neo Rausch and Gerhard Richter.
