Adriano Garbarino was born near the little harbor of Portofino, located in the Metropolitan City of Genoa on the Italian Riviera, and graduated in 1968 from the University of Fine Arts in Florence – Toscana, after an education in sculpture.
His enthusiasm for travels took him to the Principality where he established, in the late 70’s, his distinctive brand in Monte-Carlo in the heart of Monaco, producing high-end furniture distinguished by an unconventional and eclectic style.
In 1995 he released the “ECLECTICA” rug collection, quickly incorporated into the ROCHE BOBOIS catalog, before becoming an independent designer. It was in 2012, that he finally decided to launch his own furniture brand, which quickly saw tremendous success on the international designer scene.
With a natural flair for creativity and a fascination for Renaissance and Asian Arts, Adriano Garbarino launched the «Garbarino Collections» which consists of a very large portfolio of various creations, combined with outstanding quality of style and materials.
Adriano Garbarino is a multifaceted character, driven by a passion for seeking excellence. Many years of experience as an Interior Designer in Europe, USA, Russia, the Middle East and Asia have led him to develop a style capable of combining his aesthetic approach with a sophisticated tailor made expertise that adapts to each client’s demand.
His collections include pieces of timeless elegance inspired by elements of nature such as earth, fire, wind, and air. The design, colors, and noble textures of the stones coexist harmoniously in his unique pieces which were handcrafted exclusively in Italy.
The use of natural materials, leather or woods such as ebony, oak, elm, walnut “Canaletto” are matched to the strength of finishes such as marble, lacquer and golden leaves. The creations are of extreme refinement that totally come to life.
His work is based on the principles of excellence and high standards. Everything must be integrated into a 360° approach: the layout of a space, the monitoring of a construction site, the design of a piece of furniture, the decoration of a room. The sure and consistent marriage between aesthetics and technology.
His large collection of creations and original projects has brought him recognition on the international scene for more than 40 years. Throughout his career he always attached great importance to the lines and quality of the materials. He equally specialized in the decoration of interiors recognizable by its signature: a minimalist, refined and harmonious elegance.
This artist quickly understood how to create a unique style while respecting history and ancient styles. Very attached to forgotten know-how in his artistic approach, he knew how to preserve the traditions while passing them on to the new generation. His son David took over the management of the family brand to enrich the collections with a new look. Always familiar with the rules of aesthetics, he has been able, thanks to his travels and various experiences in Asia and Latin America, to anticipate the evolution of consumer expectations. If creativity and quality remain the pillars of the family business, exchanges and meetings now represent a new opportunity opted for by the long-standing business.
It is thus quite naturally that David, one of his sons, followed in his father’s footsteps, maintaining this 360° vision of the profession. The recently renovated showroom is a tribute to these years of excellence: a revisited space, all finesse and harmony, like in Japanese interiors.
In addition, a team of experts trained in-house, brought a new flair into this prestigious house while preserving the original values. A female team made up of an interior designer, decorator and sales representative came to take up this wonderfu challenge.
